Buckshaw Village is between Chorley and Euxton.  Very close to M65, M6 and M61 motorways.  There is a mainline railway station to connect you to Manchester, Preston, the Lakes and anywhere else you fancy!  A local bus service, so leave the car behind.  There are local shops in the village, a Tesco, swimming pool, pub/restaurant, play parks - all within walking distance. As the apartment is so easy to get to it's a great base for exploring the area.  Why not visit the Lake District, go shopping in Manchester or Preston, visit one of the many stately homes or explore local delicacies on the Ribble Valley Food Trail.  There is so much to see and do!
And, 2012 is Preston Guild Year!  This ancient festival only happens every 20 years so forget about the Olympics, see what's happening locally and get involved during your stay!
