We are owners ourselves so we know the amount of work that goes in to hiring out a holiday home. We work to a very high standard ensuring that customer service is paramount and meticulous attention to detail in our homes is maintained at all times.
We inspect all prospective homes before acceptance. We don’t grade as such, as we only accept one standard, the highest! That way our guests can be confident they are getting a top quality holiday home when they book through us.
To become a ‘Buckshaw Home Owner’, firstly you will have a beautiful property that you want to share with guests from around the world. The property will be well maintained and fully equipped with everything and more that guest may require during their stay. The rental rates will reflect the quality and care you have put in to your property, but they will be all inclusive. Strictly NO extra charges, so homes are priced accordingly.
Buckshaw Homes don’t have to be palatial mansions or chocolate box cottages, but if they are it helps! Currently, they range from a luxury lodge by a lake to a seven bedroomed cottage with indoor pool. What they must have is, the touch of luxury and a unique selling point. It’s the finishing touches and extra thought that make a Buckshaw Home a lovely place to stay for our guests.
Our service to you.
Buckshaw Homes offer as a letting service:
- Inclusion on our own professionally built, state of the art website complete with online availability and booking facilities, including the ability to take credit/debit cards.
- Free web based advertising on the major holiday websites.
- We will organise all the booking paperwork, sort out the contracts, payments and terms & conditions.
- Advise you on all aspects of insurance (specially negotiated rates for our owners) security and health and safety requirements.
- Give help and advice on the best way to present your property to your guests. And importantly, be there on hand to help with questions or concerns you may have about letting your property.
- We will also if required, greet your guests and show them round on arrival day or arrange for key pick up. (Certain areas only)
What we won’t do however, is restrict your advertising with other agents. It is your home and yours to use. Unlike some companies, we will not restrict the use of your own property, that way you are free to use the house yourself or take bookings from elsewhere. All we ask in return is that you respect our right to retain our customers and that any bookings that you do take yourself are notified to us immediately. That way we keep the online booking system up to date and avoid any ‘double bookings’.
Our fee for all this is a very competitive 20% of the holiday rental. There are no set up fees, nor do you have to pay for any advertising. We will even take high quality digital photographs of your property for you. You have nothing to lose!
If required, (certain areas only & fee payable) we can offer a fully managed service. This means we will organise the changeovers for you, cleaning and laundering of the linen and towels. Include a welcome pack. Instruct builders, plumbers etc to carry out any maintenance or repairs, in fact look after your home for you.
